Birmingham City Transport operated the passenger transport network in Birmingham from 1937, right through to 1969. It was created out of Birmingham Corporation Tramways and reflected the fact that there was a varied mixture of trams, trolleybuses and motor buses in the city. However, between 1947 and 1954, the company gradually phased out both its trams and trolleybuses, replacing them with over 1700 new buses during the period. This model is in the blue and cream livery .
